The horror movie Night Swim that was originally supposed to come out in theaters on January 19, 2024 is now coming sooner. Universal Studios has announced a new release date of January 5, 2024.
In Night Swim, actors Wyatt Russell and Kerry Condon will be playing roles in the movie. It’s a scary horror-thriller about a swimming pool. The rule of the pool is very specific: no running around it, no diving in it, there won’t be any lifeguard during swimming hours, and you’re not allowed to swim when it’s dark out! It is based on Rod Blackhurst and Bryce McGuire’s 2014 short film that also has the same name – Night Swim. Bryce McGuire also wrote the screenplay for this movie with Rod Blackhurst helping him out too.

The film is made by two popular horror companies, Blumhouse Productions and Atomic Monster. Universal has the rights to show this movie thanks to Blumhouse’s deal with them. The producers are James Wan for Atomic and Jason Blum for Blumhouse. Plus, other people like Michael Clear, Judson Scott and Ryan Turek will be helping as executive producers with Alayna Glasthal looking over everything for Atomic. Before October 2023, we can expect Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom from Wan as well as two new movies from Blum; a reboot of Exorcist and Five Nights At Freddy’s.

At the start of every year, a lot of horror movies usually come out – and this is something that Universal/Blumhouse are very much familiar with. They recently released a horror sci-fi film called M3GAN where it made $95 million in profits! Because it did so well, they’ve decided to make another one and plan to have it out by 2025. A movie similar to M3GAN, Night Swim, will also be coming out soon too.

Night Swim has two very famous actors named Russell and Condon. Besides that, he starred in Under the Banner of Heaven too. Lastly, he will have a part in Apple TV+’s upcoming series Godzilla and the Titans with his dad.
Condon has been seen in a lot of popular TV shows, such as Better Call Saul, Rome, Ray Donovan and Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri, which earned seven Academy Award nominations. Her role in The Banshees of Inisherin gained her tons of praise and she got nominated for Best Supporting Actress at the Oscars and Golden Globes. She even won BAFTA’s Best Supporting Actress award!
