Over the weekend, people were talking about a new trailer for the final Indiana Jones movie starring Harrison Ford. Because of this, stores are selling lots of action figures that represent all the movies in the Indiana Jones adventure series. Also, Funko and Loungefly have released special collections to mark the 40th anniversary of Indian Jones.
Funko is releasing a massive collection of Pop figures based on Indiana Jones! This includes Indy, Marion Ravenwood, Sallah, and the villain Arnold Toht from Raiders of the Lost Ark. Plus an exclusive Short Round from Temple of Doom and Indy’s dad Henry Jones Sr. from Last Crusade. Also, there are multiple variants of Indiana Jones up for grabs like Professor Jones seen throughout the series (available at Walmart), a Cairo action set piece-less Indy without his jacket (at Hot Topic), an Indy in a white tuxedo from Temple of Doom (also from Walmart) and as well as a battle damaged version at the end of Temple of Doom also Hot Topic exclusive). To top it all off Funko will sell a special acrylic version with an idol in his hand coming from Raiders.
Funko’s not done with the franchise yet, as they have a few more collectibles on the way! You can get Pop Moments and Pop Rides that represent some of the most iconic scenes from Indiana Jones films, like Indy running away from a giant boulder in Raiders and being at the Skull Shrine in Temple Of Doom. The most special one is probably the motorcycle chase scene ride with Indy’s dad in sidecar – this will be an only available online on Amazon. Prices range from $11.99-49.99 depending on the type of collectible you choose – some are cheaper while others are quite expensive!
Loungefly has some new special items inspired by Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny movie! You can get a backpack with an illustration of Indy running away from a boulder, as well as an Idol from the opening escape sequence. Or you can also pick up a matching wallet for $40. Both items are available on Loungefly’s website – and the backpack will cost you $90.
These collections are a great way to celebrate the over forty years of Indiana Jones’ movies. They’re full of iconic scenes and awesome music from John Williams! Looking at them will bring lots of nostalgia and make you want to hear the amazing musical score again.
