The era of captivating spy tales is upon us, with Amazon’s Citadel having wrapped up, the eagerly awaited MCU’s Secret Invasion on the horizon, and the highly anticipated Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning Part One starring Tom Cruise. Amidst this landscape of superheroes and covert operatives, Gal Gadot’s Heart of Stone emerges as a female-led, adrenaline-pumping spy thriller, marking Netflix’s addition of yet another blockbuster action film to its impressive lineup of A-list productions.
Total Film magazine recently unveiled an enticing cover featuring Gadot and Jamie Dornan, both looking impeccably sharp as spies. With Heart of Stone, Netflix aspires to launch its own franchise in the vein of Mission Impossible, placing Gadot in the lead role. In this upcoming feature, she portrays Rachel Stone, an elite agent who harbors a life-altering secret of paramount importance, surpassing even her distinguished career with MI6. As the sole barrier between the enigmatic and formidable organization known as the Charter and the potential loss of its most prized and dangerous asset, the Heart, Rachel faces a perilous mission.

While specifics about this highly anticipated film are being kept tightly under wraps, a previously released teaser hints at breathtaking action sequences and stunning landscapes befitting a globe-trotting espionage thriller. Heart of Stone has been filmed in captivating locations such as Italy, London, Reykjavík, and Lisbon, and features awe-inspiring cinematography on a grand scale. When discussing her character, Gadot previously remarked, “I realized that there was an audience for a female action protagonist.” Having established herself as an action star through projects like Wonder Woman and Red Notice, it is only fitting that she leads this upcoming venture, as she further explained:
“I grew up watching Bond, and Mission, and Bourne. I wanted to create a really strong, female-driven action movie that is for everybody, not a male story that’s been done many times already.”
