Scream VI Breaks Box Office Records, Becomes Highest-Grossing Film in Franchise History

by admin

This weekend, the movie Scream VI made it into the top five of the domestic box office for its fifth time. It recently earned $103.8 million in income and is now the most successful part in the scary-movie series. Before that, it was Scream 1, which launched back in 1996, that held this record.

The first Scream movie made $103 million dollars when it was shown in cinemas twenty years ago. Then, the second and third movies released a few years after also made $101 million and $89 million respectively. The fourth installment earned less too – with only $38 million while the fifth one got back up to $81 million last year. In total, Scream VI has collected almost $160 million so far worldwide, making it only slightly behind what Scream 3 amassed ($161) months ago. All these dollar figures for the different Screams are adjusted for inflation.

The first Scream movie made the most money out of all the movies in this franchise, getting $173 million at the box office. The second and fifth Scream movies earned $172 million and $138 million respectively. The fourth movie got only $95 million, which is a smaller amount. All of these Scream films combined have made over $900 million around the world and around $517 million just in America.

The Scream franchise is popular for its jokes about movies and the character Ghostface who wears a mask. Wes Craven, a famous horror movie maker, directed the first four movies in the series. When he passed away in 2015, two filmmakers called Radio Silence took over. This new movie was also named Scream and it got people interested again because of its smart ideas on how sequels of movies should be made and its scary scenes.

After the success of Scream 5, Bettinelli-Olpin and Gillett worked on the sixth movie which is different from all the others in the franchise since it does not have Neve Campbell involved. The film received a great reaction from critics and fans when it released in March. Ross Bonaime from FilmSweep said that he liked how this movie both remembered previous ones and made room for a new generation.

“Reach Success Faster

We all want to be successful in life, but it’s not always easy. To achieve success, you need to have a good plan and take consistent action. You also need the discipline and commitment to stay on track when things get tough. Taking risks can also help you reach your goals faster, so don’t be afraid to step out of your comfort zone. With hard work, dedication and determination, you can go far and make something of yourself.

Scream VI was yet another success for Paramount. A few years ago, the movie studio had some trouble with their biggest movies—like Transformers and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles—not doing so well financially. However, last year saw a major comeback for Paramount with excellent releases such as Sonic the Hedgehog 2, Smile, The Lost City, Jackass Forever and Top Gun: Maverick. This year, everyone is buzzing about Mission: Impossible — Dead Reckoning Part One from Paramount.

Scream VI is now showing in movie theaters and it stars Melissa Barrera, Courteney Cox, Jenna Ortega, Jasmin Savoy Brown, Mason Gooding and Hayden Panettiere.
