In one month, the Guardians of the Galaxy will be returning to theaters! Empire Magazine released two new pictures from this movie that show off a villain and updated outfits for the group.
The first picture we see shows Chris Pratt, Dave Bautista and Karen Gillan all dressed up in their cool new uniforms. Dave is specifically wearing something special since he got fed up with wearing makeup for his character Drax before they started filming at Disney World’s Cosmic Rewind attraction. So what about the villain, you ask?
Will Poulter is joining the cast of Guardians of the Galaxy as Adam Warlock. He’s a superhero with awesome powers who was created by Ayesha (Elizabeth Debicki), the leader and High Priestess of an alien race called Sovereign, who have genes that were specially made for them. They had one main purpose: To take down the Guardians of the Galaxy! When asked about Will Poulter’s role as Adam Warlock in this movie, the director said something positive about it.
“Adam Warlock is not a good guy. He’s just like an infant, still new to life and he doesn’t understand it well. People online have said Tom Cruise would be a great Adam Warlock, but I needed someone younger with superb acting skills.”
So “Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol 3” is going to have vibrant character posters as they prepare together for their last adventure.
Adam’s Evolution
Adam was introduced in the Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 post-credits scene. He was created by Ayesha (played by Debicki) and grew in a cocoon. James Poulter (the actor who played Adam) said they discussed playing Adam while he’s still young, to see how he develops his sense of right and wrong in different situations. They wanted this to be funny but also have drama present too.
The movie is about the Guardians of the Galaxy dealing with a lot of changes. Peter Quill, who lost Gamora, must lead his team to save the universe and their own lives. If they can’t complete their mission it could mean the end of the Guardians.
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 will be released in movie theaters on May 5th, 2023! Check out the new photos that Empire has put out beneath this passage!
