There’s no need to hold back your excitement anymore. Fresh visuals from The Marvels are now available, providing the first glimpse of the superhero trio, and of course, Goose, courtesy of Entertainment Weekly. This forthcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe production will feature three iconic Marvels: Captain Marvel, portrayed by Brie Larson, Ms. Marvel, brought to life by Imani Vellani, and Monica Rambeau, played by Teyonah Parris. The plot of the film centers around Monica Rambeau as her powers intertwine with those of Captain Marvel and Ms. Marvel, due to a wormhole connected to the Kree, a blue-skinned extraterrestrial race from Hala, who first appeared in the MCU in Guardians of the Galaxy.
A Sneak Peek into The Marvels
Monica Rambeau’s narrative has been intertwined with various MCU plots up to this point. She was showcased in the MCU’s Disney+ series, WandaVision, and it’s evident that she has always admired Carol Danvers, aka Captain Marvel, since her childhood as depicted in Captain Marvel. Simultaneously, Kamala Khan is a passionate follower of Captain Marvel. However, in the forthcoming movie, all three women will cross paths, uniting to rescue the world once more.
Today’s release of new images offers a first glance at their collaborative venture. The initial image captures all three in uniform, standing together. It seems they are outdoors, though the background remains out of focus. All three characters look beyond the frame. Another picture features Captain Marvel amidst a crowd of what appears to be Skrulls, while Monica Rambeau showcases her spectacular powers in another image, radiating her signature energy rays.
