Illumination has honed its animation craft to perfection, earning audience’s affection with a string of successes like Despicable Me, Sing, and The Secret Life of Pets. Their latest venture, Migration, introduces a new ensemble of offbeat animal characters led by the Mallards, a duck family stuck in a dilemma. But their travel plans soon hit a snag, and they must tackle numerous hurdles on the way to their dream destination.

The screenplay is written by White, who recently won accolades and Emmys for both writing and directing HBO’s The White Lotus. White is also credited with writing and acting in the 2003 classic School of Rock. Migration’s ensemble voice cast boasts of Oscar and Emmy nominee Kumail Nanjiani (Eternals) voicing Mack, with Emmy nominee Elizabeth Banks (The Hunger Games) as Pam. Caspar Jennings and Tresi Gazal voice Dax and Gwen respectively, the latter marking her debut in feature films. The cast also includes Awkwafina (The Little Mermaid) as a leader of a New York pigeon gang and Carol Kane (The Princess Bride) as Erin the heron, with Keegan-Michael Key, David Mitchell, and Danny DeVito among the stars.
