What to Expect from the New Ghostbusters Film
The plot of the new Ghostbusters film remains shrouded in ghoulish mystery. Despite lacking an official title, the project has been unofficially referred to as “Firehouse,” paying homage to the iconic New York headquarters of the Ghostbusters. What we do know is that this sequel will directly continue the story introduced in Afterlife, with McKenna Grace, Finn Wolfhard, Carrie Coon, and Paul Rudd reprising their roles for another thrilling adventure. The new cast includes Kumail Nanjiani, Patton Oswalt, James Acaster, and Emily Alyn Lind. Afterlife revealed that Callie, portrayed by Coon, is Egon’s granddaughter, and her children, Phoebe and Trevor, played by Grace and Wolfhard, are poised to carry on the Ghostbusters legacy. The post-credit scene of Afterlife also saw the return of Ernie Hudson’s Winston, who brought back the famous Echo-1 to their former firehouse headquarters in NYC.
