Quiz Lady revolves around the story of estranged sisters Jenny (played by Oh) and Anne (portrayed by Awkwafina), who reunite in a quest to settle their mother’s mounting gambling debt. Jenny, characterized as a “brilliant but tightly wound” individual, harbors an obsession with game shows, while Anne is depicted as the more chaotic of the two. Together, they embark on a cross-country road trip, not only to retrieve Anne’s abducted dog but also to transform her into a game show champion, securing the much-needed funds along the way.

The released images predominantly feature Oh and Awkwafina as Jenny and Anne, showcasing their contrasting personalities. Visually, it becomes evident that Anne leans toward a more reserved lifestyle, preferring stability. In contrast, Jenny thrives on spontaneity and self-expression, living life on the edge. The Creative Team Behind Quiz Lady

Quiz Lady was brought to life by the talented writer Jen D’Angelo, known for her work on Hocus Pocus 2 and contributions to Young Rock. The feature was skillfully directed by Jessica Yu, who boasts an impressive resume including projects such as Prime Video’s Citadel, This Is Us, and 13 Reasons Why, among others. Ferrell, Oh, and Awkwafina took on producer roles for Quiz Lady, alongside D’Angelo, Maggie Haskins, Itay Reiss, and Jessica Elbaum. The additional cast includes Holland Taylor, who previously starred alongside Oh in The Chair, and Tony Hale from The Mysterious Benedict Society.
