Seeking solace after the harrowing events she endured, Irene aspires to lead a tranquil life of service. However, her hopes are shattered when Valak possesses her friend, Maurice (Jonas Bloquet). Hints have suggested that Valak has managed to break free from its confinement, and the consequences of this newfound freedom are already unfolding. Bonnie Aarons, who has embodied the role of the Nun since the character’s inception, returns to reprise her chilling portrayal in the sequel.
In the initial Nun film, Father Burke (Demián Bichir) is dispatched to investigate a convent following the mysterious suicide of a nun. Sister Irene accompanies him on the mission, despite being in the early stages of her career. Little did they know that their lives would be forever altered, as Valak emerged as a formidable threat surpassing their worst nightmares. Judging by the sequel’s premise, it appears their efforts to vanquish the demon were not entirely successful. The first installment of The Nun was helmed by Corin Hardy.
