A fresh clip has been revealed by Walt Disney World, featuring Rosario Dawson, the star of Haunted Mansion, guiding a tour through the ride. In the clip, Dawson delineates which segments of the ride have found their way into the movie. The Haunted Mansion film is set to hit theaters on July 28.
The video showcases one of the ride’s key areas – the elongating room, glimpses of which can also be caught in the movie trailers. In this part of the attraction, guests are ushered into the stretching room prior to embarking on the actual ride. This room contains numerous portraits of individuals, which, as the room expands, unfold surprising elements about the portrayed individuals. The clip also puts the spotlight on Madame Leota, a character who will be portrayed by Jamie Lee Curtis in the movie. The role of Madame Leota was played by Jennifer Tilly in the 2003 rendition of The Haunted Mansion movie. The video also offers glimpses of some beloved ghost characters from the ride, including the hitchhiking spirits that materialize towards the climax of the ride.
Dawson brings to life the character Gabbie in the Haunted Mansion film. In the storyline, Gabbie, along with her son Travis (played by Chase W. Despite not being featured in the Walt Disney World rendition of the ride, plans are in place to introduce this character later this year.
