The Saw saga continues. In September, the upcoming chapter of the longstanding Saw franchise, titled Saw X, will be presented by Lionsgate and Twisted Pictures. As the 10th installment in the series, it will delve into the earlier times of the story. Tobin Bell’s return had hinted at Saw X falling into the initial parts of the franchise, and now, the newly unveiled synopsis discloses the exact setting of the movie.
According to Lionsgate and Twisted Pictures, Saw X uncovers a hitherto untold segment of John Kramer’s (Bell) journey. Fighting terminal cancer, Kramer’s days of crafting twisted games are dwindling. His journey to Mexico, seeking a potential cure, leads him to become Jigsaw once again. The detailed synopsis states:
“John Kramer (Tobin Bell) returns, bringing to light Jigsaw’s final, undisclosed games. Taking place between Saw I and II, a sick and desperate John embarks on a journey to Mexico for a risky, experimental medical procedure, hoping for a miraculous cure for his cancer. He, however, stumbles upon a fraudulent scheme targeting the most vulnerable. The notorious serial killer reverts to his old ways, orchestrating a retribution against the fraudsters through his signature, chillingly imaginative traps.”
