Rachel Zegler can be seen in her new movie, Shazam! Fury of the Gods. Soon she’ll be playing a different kind of character – Lucy Gray Baird in The Ballad Of Songbirds And Snakes. It won’t arrive in theaters until November but people are already getting excited! Lionsgate even showed us a poster with two creatures – a songbird and a snake – fighting each other.
Turning Things Around
A prequel movie is being made, which is based on a book by Suzanne Collins. It’s about a young Coriolanus Snow (Tom Blyth) before he becomes president of Panem. He was assigned to work in the 10th Annual Hunger Games as a mentor for one of the tributes – Lucy Gray Baird (Zegler). During his time with Lucy Gray, he starts to doubt his place in the Games and forms a strong bond with her.
If you’ve seen The Hunger Games films, you probably remember President Snow (played by Donald Sutherland) as a mean-spirited person who didn’t like Katniss Everdeen (played by Jennifer Lawrence) and her rebellious behavior. What’s interesting is that Katniss and Lucy Gray are from the same district in the movie – Panem which has 12 districts altogether.

Tom Blyth plays Coriolanus, a young man from the Snow family – a once-proud Capitol family that has lost most of its wealth and status. His future is at stake, so he’s made to mentor Lucy Gray Baird from District 12, who is also competing in The Hunger Games. When the audience falls for her charm, it gives Tom an idea: if the two of them team up and play their cards right, they stand a chance to turn everything around! With both good and bad choices in mind, Tom needs to find out how this race against time will go and whether or not he’ll be able to become either a songbird or a snake.
